Thank you for your interest in the Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma (STEDY).
The STEDY family is excited to welcome our newest family member, San Juana “SJ” Macias. SJ is the Program Management Specialist for our district and brings with her a tremendous wealth of knowledge. We are confident in the service she will provide our students and community. Her professional skills make her a perfect fit for STEDY.
It is amazing we are headed into the holiday season already. We have decorated our “Thankful Tree” and we will soon find ourselves in the new year, registering and enrolling students for the 2020 school year. Our staff are spending time now on campuses, talking to students about the benefits of STEDY. If you have a high school student in a Yuma Union High School District school, please ask them if they have seen us on their campus.
We believe students that complete a STEDY program have a competitive advantage when entering the workforce or post-secondary education. This is because students are provided with technical skills training and learning experiences that are aligned with the requirements needed for industry. Students in STEDY programs are taught industry related standards and then are required to apply the standards to ensure they are proficient. Once students are able to demonstrate proficiency they are then qualified to earn and industry standard certification.
Thank you again for your interest in our district. It is because of your support we will continue to support economic development and prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s workforce.
