Someone in my class has COVID. Now what?

We are doing everything possible to ensure our due diligence in keeping our students and families informed, parents will be notified of anything that could impact the health and safety of our students and school community.  When it comes to our attention that an individual on campus has tested positive for COVID-19 we will be informing students and parents with two possible mitigation strategies depending on the proximity to the persons testing positive.
Information will be shared if students depending on the proximity and length of time of contact with the person testing positive.

    • Quarantine (with 3 options)
      1. Return to school after 10 days with a mask for 4 more days (*NOTE: STEDY does not have a mask mandate. Wearing a mask is a student's choice)
      2. Return to school after 14 days if choosing not wear a mask
      3. Return to school after 7 days if receiving a negative test on day 6
    • Continue to monitor health after quarantine
    • Continue to practice social hygiene and handwashing exposed
No Close Contact: Those students in the same room but NOT in Close Contact:
    • Return to school
    • Continue monitoring health
