About STEDY
What is STEDY?
STEDY is the Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma. We are a career and technical education (CTE) public high school district. We serve ALL high school students enrolled in public, private, and charter schools by providing them with CTE educational experiences that lead to an industry recognized certification. All courses offered by STEDY are approved by the Career and Technical Education Division (CTE) of the Arizona Department of Education.

Student Eligibility
You are eligible to enroll in a STEDY program if:
- High school sophomore or junior who attends traditional public, charter, private, or home-school.
- Have a Grade point average of 2.0+ and are on track with your credits/classes toward graduation.
- Have a history of good attendance.
- Resident of Yuma County; Dateland, Gadsden, San Luis, Somerton, Tacna, Wellton, Yuma, etc.
- Able to commit to a 2 Year program.
- YCAT passes are provided where routes are available, otherwise, transportation is the responsibility of the student.
Program Class Times
STEDY Central program classes are held at the STEDY Central Campus 899 E. Plaza Circle, Suite 1 in Yuma. Classes are held in two time blocks.
A Block: Monday - Thursday 1:20pm - 3:50pm
B Block: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 6:30pm
Classes held at Arizona Western College are in the evening as per the AWC Schedule and Academic Calendar.
Program Costs
STEDY programs are at NO tuition or classroom materials cost to the student. The cost of tuition, fees and textbooks is covered by STEDY for programs held at Arizona Western College. YCAT passes provided where routes are available, otherwise transportation is the responsibility of the student.
There is a yearly $25.00 non-refundable enrollment fee, due alongside your initial Enrollment Packet.
Program Grades, Certifications & Credits
Students earn school letter grades from A-F as indicated by the course syllabus. Grades earned are unweighted.
All STEDY programs lead to industry certification, preparing students for the workforce and/or post-secondary education.
STEDY students are awarded credits for participation in STEDY CTED programs. Upon Completion of the STEDY course each semester, grades will be reported to the students homeschool and typically count as CTE or Elective credit. Please speak to the student's home high school about how credits will be applied and posted to the students Transcript.
